Mobile Connect takes advantage of Vodafone's 3G network, offering connection speeds that are up to seven times faster than a 56k PSTN modem dial-up connection. If you find yourself in an area without 3G coverage, it'll keep you connected by switching automatically to the well-established GPRS data service. You can also use your Wireless LAN enabled laptop to access the Vodafone WLAN service through the dashboard software in any of our partners' hotspot locations. The intuitive on-screen Dashboard for Mac (v1.0 or later) or Windows (v3.0 or later) lets you use your laptop to:

  1. • access internet-based email accounts
  2. • browse any web page
  3. • send and receive text messages
  4. • chat using instant messages
  5. • monitor your usage (for 3G and GRPS)
  6. • connect to your company network using a VPN
